Privacy Policy

KaraokeCall ("we", "us", or "our") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard information when you use the KaraokeCall iOS app and web services.

1. Information We Collect

Information you provide:

• KJ/DJ display name (stored locally on your device and in your active session)
• Song library entries including titles, artist names, and disc codes
• PayPal and Venmo usernames (Pro users only, stored locally on your device)
• Singer names submitted by audience members during a live session
• Song requests submitted by audience members during a live session

Information collected automatically:

• Session data including start time, song requests, votes, and rotation — stored temporarily in Firebase for the duration of your session
• Anonymous audience count per session (no identifying information)
• Subscription status via Apple StoreKit

2. How We Use Your Information

• To operate live karaoke sessions and display requests to the KJ
• To show the singer rotation to audience members via the web interface
• To process in-app subscription purchases via Apple's payment system
• To enable tipping via PayPal and Venmo (Pro users only)
• To improve the app experience

3. Data Storage and Retention

Session data is stored in Google Firebase Realtime Database. Sessions are marked inactive when ended and retained for up to 30 days before automatic deletion. No personally identifiable information about audience members is stored beyond their first name and last initial as voluntarily entered by them.

Your KJ profile, song library, and settings are stored locally on your device and are not transmitted to our servers except during an active session.

4. Third-Party Services

• Google Firebase — session data storage and real-time sync
• Apple StoreKit — subscription purchase processing
• iTunes Search API — song search (no personal data sent)
• PayPal / Venmo — optional tipping (Pro only). We do not receive or store payment information

5. Data Sharing

We do not sell, trade, or transfer your personal information to third parties. Session data is shared only as necessary to operate the service.

6. Children's Privacy

KaraokeCall is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

7. Security

Session data is transmitted over HTTPS. However, no method of internet transmission is 100% secure.

8. Your Rights

You may delete locally stored data by uninstalling the app. To request deletion of Firebase session data, contact us below.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
